How to upload files to your Patient Portal

The steps below are based on official AdvancedMD patient‑education materials and reflect the standard workflow as of early 2025.

💻 Uploading from a Computer (Web Browser)

  1. Log in to your AdvancedMD Patient Portal.
  2. From the Home page, click on Upload Documents
  3. Scroll down to locate the Medical Documents tab and click the arrow to expand it
  4. Upload your file(s):
    • Click the upload box, or drag and drop up to 3 files at once.
    • Accepted documents include images of IDs, insurance cards, medical records, etc.
  5. Once your files are loaded, the Send button becomes active.
  6. Click Send to transmit documents to your care team. They will be added to your patient chart within the practice system
  7.

📱 Uploading from a Mobile Device (Within Portal App or Mobile Browser)

  1. Log in using your mobile device.
  2. From the Home page, open the Profile menu (tap the down-arrow).
  3. Tap Upload Documents to open the section
  4. Scroll to the Medical Documents tab and expand it.
  5. Tap the box to upload files, then select images or documents (up to 3 at once).
  6. Once selected, the Send button will activate—tap Send to upload

🧾 Additional Notes

  • The portal supports uploads of insurance cards, driver’s licenses, medical documents, and images in PDF or image formats. These are linked to your patient record once submitted.
  • Once sent, your documents go directly into your chart and can be accessed by your medical team.
  • If you need to send files to the office (via the EHR rather than the portal), staff can upload documents via a “Patient Viewable” folder by uploading from your chart, which makes the file accessible to you in the portal.
