Ronald Z Mendez, MD
Dr. Ronald Z. Mendez, M.D. is a board-certified internal medicine physician and the founder of BlueBird Care Physicians, a community-focused primary care clinic in Melbourne, Florida. He is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to adults, with an emphasis on evidence-based prevention, chronic disease management, and overall wellness. His approach integrates traditional internal medicine with proactive strategies that promote long-term health and vitality.
Dr. Mendez earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and completed his internal medicine residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, affiliated with NY Medical College in New York City. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Mendez brings a diverse background and a deep appreciation for community-centered medicine to his practice.
In addition to his outpatient care, Dr. Mendez has served as a hospitalist at Sebastian River Medical Center since 2021, gaining extensive experience in inpatient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Before entering private practice, he also held leadership roles in provider engagement and clinical documentation improvement, helping optimize quality care delivery and regulatory compliance in multispecialty practices.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mendez is a proud husband and father of two. He and his family call Melbourne, Florida home, where they enjoy staying active in the community and embracing the area's welcoming coastal lifestyle. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

With a background in Surgical Pathology and hospital-based roles, she now brings a wealth of expertise to her current position in a private practice. Amy's dedication to patient care extends beyond the clinic, where she enjoys cooking and outdoor activities with her family.
She creates a familial atmosphere, providing invaluable insights into appointments and insurance, all while cherishing moments with loved ones and exploring the world through travel.
